The
Trading Post
Le Bonheur was a historic trading post for travellers and traders between Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Paarl. With natural springs and lush vegetation, Le Bonheur was the ideal setting to rest and socialise. Centuries later, not much has changed! The natural springs are still one of Le Bonheur’s most valuable resources and travellers from far and wide still gather to appreciate the fine fines from the Estate.

Cellar
The
Cellar
With traditional open fermenters dating back from a bygone winemaking era, the Le Bonheur cellar is as timeless as the wines it produces. With an artisanal winemaking approach, all vineyard blocks are individually picked and vinified, to create a multitude of distinctive blending components.

Vineyards
The
Vineyards
Le Bonheur boasts some of the most diverse terroir in Stellenbosch. This varies from 450m altitude Sauvignon Blanc sites right on top of Klapmuts Hill, to deep granite slopes which are home to the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards that have made Le Bonheur a Stellenbosch icon. With centuries of winemaking heritage, Le Bonheur also has some of the oldest Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in South Africa. These vines are nurtured to remain the backbone of our proud estate wines for decades to come.
